DataPACT

Compliance by design of data/AI operations and pipelines

DataPACT focuses on revolutionising data/AI operations by integrating compliance, privacy, and environmental sustainability into their core design — making them foundational elements of data/AI pipelines rather than afterthoughts.

The project addresses the challenges posed by new AI models, ever-increasing data volumes, complex AI systems, and a multitude of emerging legislation such as the GDPR, the Data (Governance) Act and the AI Act. DataPACT delivers three key resources:

  • a Compliance Toolbox and a Compliance Framework for assessing data/AI pipelines, and
  • a data/AI pipeline management toolbox for building compliance-aware pipelines.

DataPACT supports the open European data spaces, helping organisations create fair, privacy-respecting and transparent data-driven systems. Our contribution builds on the lab’s line of work on consent management in databases and data workflows (Konstantinidis et al., 2021; Filipczuk et al., 2024).
